Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali is a 5 star all inclusive beach front resort located in Southern Bali Nusa Dua area.
Our 2nd hotel for our Bali trip which we vouched to explore different parts of Bali. Our first trip was spent entirely in Kuta yet many encourage us to branch out to experience a more conclusive Bali experience.
Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali is our first all inclusive resort in Bali. An all inclusive resort means the hotel rates includes all meals, drinks and the use of non-motorized water sport during our stay, allowing a peace of mind without worrying any shocking bill while only focusing on unlimited indulgence.
Upon arriving, we were whisked to a private lounge for check in, after brief explaining of our all inclusive package and a photo snap for souvenir, our moments of joy has officially started.
The hotel boasts 301 rooms and suites. Our Deluxe Ocean View room is traditionally appointed with classic Balinese architecture, warm wooden tones and a private balcony overlooking the swimming pool & Indian Ocean.
At 42 sqm, the room is spacious and comfortable, perfect for a getaway. Since we are on all inclusive package, all drinks & snacks in the mini bar are complimentary and replenish daily.
The marble bathroom consists of a spacious bathtub, a separated shower area and premium bathroom amenities.
Magnificent Pool View from our balcony
Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali offers 5 dining establishments serving different cuisine: Jukung Grill (grilled seafood and meat), La Cascata (Italian), Grand Cafe Restaurant (all day dining), Chopstick Restaurant (Chinese) and Rama Stage (Theme Buffet with Entertainment).
Best of all, all 5 venues are included in the all inclusive package allowing us to try different cuisine during our stay.
Jukung Grill: Grilled Pork Ribs with Sesame & Hoisin sauce
Jukung Grill: Chicken Cordon Bleu served with Fries & Salad
Jukung Grill: Baked Cheese Cake served with tropical mango sorbet
Enjoy our lunch at Jukung Grill
Jukung Grill is the ocean front alfresco restaurant at Grand Mirage specializing in grill meat & seafood. Refreshing ocean breeze in a casual setting makes our meal even more enjoyable.
The Coconut Pool Bar is the place for us to chill by the pool while sipping specially curated coconut cocktails, beer, and assorted beverages. We were surprise to know the coconuts are from the coconut trees in the hotel itself.
Japanese Koi below the cascading waterfall
Apart from the daily pool activities, Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali offers a variety of both outdoor ocean kayak, catamaran sailing, windsurfer, tennis, beach futsal & indoor pool, karaoke, fitness center, mahjong and games center.
The hotel is certainly a family friendly resort as junior guests aplenty and loads of activities & games are organized to keep them entertained.
Entertainment Area: Pool & Mini Theater
The fitness center is equipped with most basic work out, strength training & cardio equipment allowing us to burn some calories after over indulging at the resort.
Thalasso Spa in Grand Mirage Bali Resort offers a wide range of Thalasso and spa treatments that rejuvenates the body and soul with their 16 uniquely designed treatment rooms which we had the chance to peak.
For our treatment, we tried the aquamedic treatment featuring 100% pure seawater pool heated to 38 degrees with a water station massage and exercise bar.
Our treatment begins with some light exercise workout through a series of aquatic leg exercises in the pool, then allowing the multiple angle jet stream to massage various parts of our body which benefits includes reducing excess cellulite and improves our muscle tone, flexibility and blood circulation.
Then allows pounding waterfalls to further massage our shoulder & lower back and ending our treatment relaxing on an underwater bed as micro jets soothes our arching muscle.
Life is pure relaxation at Grand Mirage

Beef Carpaccio, Prosciutto Parma Ham & Melon, Deep Fried Carrozza Mozzarella Cheese, Frutti de Mare Seafood Pizza
Arabiata Spaghetti, Grilled Angus Beef Tenderloin, Grilled Red Snapper, Panna Cotta
Open for dinner only, La Cascata serves fine Italian Mediterranean Cuisine from mouth watering appetizers to different regions of pasta and pizza, delicious main course & devilish desserts.
With so many tempting choices, we were enticed to try all. So with our all inclusive package, this was a perfect chance without worrying the price.
We started our meal with fresh thin Beef Carpaccio served with crisp bacon & shaved parmesan, Deep Fried Mozzarella Cheese which is Cecilia’s favourite and Parma Ham with sweet rock melon, a divine dish of balancing sweet & saltiness.
For our first course, Cecilia ordered Spaghetti with succulent prawns cooked in fragrant garlic oil with a slight spice from the dried chili pepper while I happily indulge on my Frutti de Mare Pizza that comes with generous toppings of prawns, squid, fish and loads of cheese.
Our main course consist of perfectly grilled juicy medium rare Angus Beef Tenderloin served with mushrooms, salad & garlic mash potatoes and a fresh grilled red snapper. Finishing off our sumptuous meal we shared a panna cotta.
Moreover we can actually pair each dish with different cocktails with our all inclusive package!
Traditional Balinese Legong Dance
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday different theme buffet is offered at Rama Stage and comes with lively traditional Balinese dances and entertainment.

Woke up at 6am to catch the sunrise
Like the hotel, the sun rise is an awesome sight to behold. We purposely woke up at 6am just to catch the mesmerizing sun rise before going back to sleep again.
The Grand Cafe is open 24 hours daily serving ala carte menu & theme buffets. It is also where hotels guests enjoy their daily buffet breakfast.
Salad Bar, Cereals, Breads, Juices
Frankly speaking, our 3 days 2 nights stay at Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali was insufficient, there are so many things to do and food to try yet 3 days was too short to experience it all.
Though more inclined to family oriented, the value & quality was great even for couples like us, as you can choose between all inclusive or not, the restaurants are on their toes to serve quality tasting food instead of merely edible food to satisfy all inclusive guests like some other hotels.
As this is our 2nd Bali trip which initial intention was pure relaxation, most of our time were spend in the hotel hence the all inclusive package works wonders for us.
What we look forward: More stable Wifi especially at Jukung Grill
