1. Mount Everest Base Camp 珠峰大本營

The Mount Everest base camp is located at 5,150 metres above the sea level. The base camps are rudimentary campsites on Mount Everest that are used by mountain climbers during their ascent and descent.

2. Yangbajain 羊八井

Tangbajian area is famous for the Yangbajain Geothermal Field, which has been harnessed to produce electricity for the capital Lhasa as well as Yangbajain hot springs field which is China’s highest altitude hot spring.

3. Namtso Lake 納木措湖

Lake Namtso is the highest saltwater lake in the world with an altitude of 4718 meters. The Heavenly Lake is surrounded by Snow-capped mountains and open grassland.

In the Year of the Sheep, Buddhist followers will hold Buddhist rites on Namtso Lake. They believe if a follower of Buddhism round the lake with prayers in the year of the sheep, he will receive a thousand times blessing compared with other years.
