Location
Our staycation plan took us to Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur located in KL Sentral, a prime business district & a major transportation hub in KL. The hotel is easily accessible with public transport and getting around KL is a non-issue with all the connectivity there.
There is a Nu Sentral Mall opposite the hotel and Little India is just 5 mins away. While Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is business travellers favourite choice, the hotel was also designed to be a tropical oasis in the city.
We usually plan a staycation in Kuala Lumpur as an alternative quick escape from the hustle and bustle life especially when we do not have extra time off for a vacation overseas.
The Hotel
The wind chime inspired Symphony of Lights chandelier was made by Keiko Miura. Each glass piece which resembles the interpretation of lights is completely handmade and then hoisted to ceiling 10 meters above.
Behind the reception, the LED Map Wall is an abstracted map of old Kuala Lumpur, in blurred dot matrix pattern form. The illuminated coloured changing wall channels the progression of the city into the future and embraces the idea of looking in the past from the future.

What is a staycation without a swimming pool? The hotel’s pool reminiscence a small tropical resort in the city centre. Lush green gardens with ample tropical plants and even a mini waterfall would easily induce us to forget we are in KL Sentral.

Favola at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is one of the top Italian restaurants in KL features authentic Italian gastronomy in a cosy Venetian theme setting. The restaurant is helmed by seasoned Chef Domenico Piras from Milan. Their Rissoto Bianco is one of the best we tasted so far.
