WhiskyPLUS, Malaysia’s premier whisky and spirits tasting event, returns on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for its 10th edition and seventh run in Kuala Lumpur. This milestone celebration will be held at the elegant Crowne Plaza KLCC, one of the city’s newest premium hotels, offering an elevated and immersive experience for both whisky connoisseurs and curious newcomers. Guests will enjoy two vibrant sessions, each showcasing an impressive variety of whiskies and spirits from leading brand owners, importers, and distributors.
The 2025 edition promises more than just whisky tastings. Masterclasses will give attendees deeper insights into whisky appreciation, covering topics such as production methods, regional distinctions, flavour profiles, and food pairings. These sessions, led by expert presenters, are perfect for those seeking to expand their whisky knowledge beyond simply enjoying a dram. To enhance the indulgence, the event will also feature gourmet cheese, and Malaysia’s own T’Lur caviar, all thoughtfully paired with select whiskies.
For cigar enthusiasts, Cohiba Atmosphere will host a dedicated booth, offering a curated selection of premium hand-rolled cigars, including exclusive Cuban options. Knowledgeable staff will be available to guide guests through the choices. Popular WhiskyPLUS features will also make a return, such as VIP Lounges, the Collector’s Corner for rare bottle purchases, and special tasting opportunities for limited-edition whiskies. Complimentary refreshments, including sparkling water from Spritzer, coffee from Mister Coffee, and Monin mocktails, will be available, along with a set meal box for all ticket holders.
Attendees can select from Standard, VIP, or Whisky Explorer passes, each including a commemorative 2025 Glencairn-style tasting glass and lanyard holder. VIP guests will enjoy priority masterclass registration, access to exclusive areas, and a wider range of premium pours. Session 1 runs from 12:00pm to 4:30pm, while Session 2 is from 5:30pm to 10:00pm, with limited tickets available for each to ensure a comfortable, quality experience.
