Etihad Airways has recently launched a brand new First & Business Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi while the previous First Class Lounge is undergoing renovation, expected to be ready by April 2015.
The previous First Class lounge is quite small hence renovation is undergoing to combine the previous First Class & Business Class into a more spacious dedicated First Class Lounge.

Therefore at this moment, First Class passengers & Elite Gold members will temporarily use this brand new First & Business Class until the new First Class Lounge renovation is completed.
Located in Terminal 3 near Gate 35, the new First & Business Class lounge is a short walk from the security screening as oppose to the previous ones which is right in front after the security area.
Concierge
There were 4 staff at the counter to ensure smooth check in. We presented our boarding pass and within few minutes we are good to enter.
Upon entering, Concierge Counter is on the right side to keep your hand carry & duty free items so you are able to relax without worrying your belongings.

The new lounge is very spacious, and could easily fit 300 people at a time which is very crucial as Etihad Airways Flights are normally scheduled at a same period mainly due to transit flight passengers.

There is also a Champagne Bar offering passengers a variety of cocktails, beverages & champagne. A glass of Champagne is always the first beverage I order when in lounge.
Champagne served was Lanson Black Label Brut, a light yellow bubbly with lemon & sweet apple on palate, easy drinking with a moderate finish.

Food is served buffet style with 3 buffet stations strategically located near every section so guests wont have to walk far to get food & drinks.

For Starters there are few salads to choose from, broccoli soup, assorted sushi & maki & selections of cheese & dates.

During my visit, the main course available was Poached Salmon Fusilli Pasta with Dill & Lemon Cream Sauce.
Indian Butter Chicken, Tofu Cubes Kebab in Tamarind Dip, Meat Kibbeh served with steamed vegetables.

Heavenly Dessert
Freshly squeezed juices like carrot, water melon etc and a large variety of Arabic mezze along with sandwiches, canapes & delightful desserts are available.
Guests are invited to ease travel stress prior to their flights and whilst in transit, with a refreshing 15-minute spa session at the renowned Six Senses spa inside the lounge.

You are spoilt with 12 spa treatments choices available to choose from. All you need to do is present your boarding pass & schedule an appointment.
Work Station
There is also a work station equip with 6 Apple Mac computers, fax, telephone and printing facilities, you’re able to attend to business as usual.. Free Wifi is available in the lounge though I had a hard time trying to connect to it.
Personal Tv Space
For traveler who prefer to watch Tv programmes or News, you will be glad there is a personal Tv with headset for your enjoyment. Gone are the days you are fixed to 1 or 2 channels broadcasted.
Shower rooms are also available so you can take a refreshing shower as well.
After a few hours relaxation in the lounge, rejuvenated by Six Sense Spa, we are ready for our next connecting flight.
