There are plenty restaurants available in Phuket however most we tried were mediocre mainly cater to the foreign tourists. That is until we tried Plum.
Plum Restaurant is a Italian Mediterranean Fine Dining located in Cape Sienna Phuket Hotel & Villa in Kamala Beach & merely 10 to 15 mins drive away from Patong Beach.
Renowned for its spectacular sunset view & intimate atmosphere , the outdoor seating is easily fully booked. Advanced reservation is highly recommended.
Diners especially couples can choose to dine in one of their 4 Salas that guarantees a romantic dining experience that is hard to replicate.
The experience at Plum restaurant is casual, yet sophisticated. We were greeted by friendly hostess and guided to our seat. An Ipad menu was presented to us to choose our dish.
Thai style spicy Beef Tenderloin roll (THB 580)
We started our appetizer with Thai style spicy Beef Tenderloin roll. Flash cooked beef that is tender & juicy wrap, filled with crunchy vegetable & Thai spicy sauce.
Plum’s Larb Salmon Tartar with Thai Spice (THB 320)
Larb is a traditional Thai food which normally uses minced pork, instead the Chef creatively uses fresh salmon tartar that opens up our appetite.
The lobster bisque is smooth, creamy & condensed with full-bodied and robust sweetish seafood taste laced with saltiness lobster flavour.
Hand sliced medium rare Angus Beef served with Wild Porcini Mushrooms & Potatoes (THB 990)
Our Main we ordered Medium Rare Angus Beef & Hawaiian & Barramundi Fillet wrapped in paper-thin potato. After trying the beef roll appetizer which was so delicious, we were eager for more meat.
The perfectly grilled medium rare beef was lip smacking! Portion was sufficient & our cravings were satisfied.
Baked Hawaiian Barramundi Fillet wrapped in paper-thin potato served with stewed Italian lentils (THB 690)
Chocolate and Hazelnut Lava cake with Bronte’s Pistachio Ice Cream (THB 320)
Another highlight is their devilish dessert. We had Chocolate and Hazelnut Lava cake with Bronte’s Pistachio Ice Cream, the moist rich molten chocolate cake pairs well with the pistachio ice cream & Plum’s classical Tiramisu which was equally heavenly.
Plum Restaurant caught us by surprise with their great service and wonderful food that we look forward to return for more. If you are traveling to Phuket, it is worth the trip to dine at Plum Restaurant.
Tips : Arrive the restaurant at 6pm so you can enjoy sunset along with dinner.
