Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur has collaborated with Noritake Japan and local designer Celest Thoi to presents yet another exciting afternoon tea prepared by Pastry Chef Suzana Anwar and team to brighten up tea connoisseurs ’mid-day tête-à-tête from 15 March to 31 May 2021.
Noritake’s delightful set of chinaware designed by Celest Thoi is a beautiful interpretation of fashion and fine china. As the first designer outside of Japan to be commissioned by Noritake, Celest Thoi’s specially designed chinaware set is exclusively sold in Malaysia.
The collection was intuitively designed with purpose, using delicate flowers to symbolise everything precious such as Ranunculus, also known as Buttercups, that symbolises charm and attractiveness; the Lupine symbolises happiness, creativity, and imagination; and Hypericum, otherwise known as St. John’s Wort, which symbolises protection and rebirth. With this collection, Thoi has captured the essence of life’s beauty and purpose and translated it onto the exclusive chinaware range.
