TEPPAN by Chef Yonemura features French-Japanese Teppanyaki with fire and action in three-in-one theatrical dining concept helmed by the much-lauded Masayasu Yonemura, chef-owner of the Michelin-starred Yonemura restaurant in Kyoto, Japan.
The restaurants combines the artistry and showmanship of teppanyaki, cocktail mixology and flambé desserts to amaze diners throughout their meal.
For a start, we decided to go for their 6 Course Dinner Menu at $208++ per pax.
Teppan houses an 8- and 13-seat dining space
Fuji Marumo Sencha & Marubi (Roasted Green Tea) is served in Teppan. Fuji Marumo is one of the well know tea plantation in Fuji with over 90 years of history
Ready to be entertained
Gazpacho with Goat Cheese & Water Shield – 7/10
Foie Gras with Saffron Rice Risotto, Sweet Corn & Tempura Prawn – 9/10
Japanese Wild Seabass with Japanese Round Eggplant Tapanede, Gyuyere Cheese & Ratatouille – 9/10
Chef preparing the Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Shabu Shabu
Miyazaki A4 Wagyu Tenderloin Steak Flambe
Kagoshima & Miyazaki A4 Wagyu – 8/10
Boston Lobster – 7/10. Would give the lobster higher point if a whole lobster is provided
Although it is not the main, the silky smooth soy curd amazed us very much
Overall we rank the $208++ 6 course dinner at 8/10 suitable for its superior ingredients & entertainment. Go for the wagyu beef unless you are good with the small portion of the lobster. The restaurant is perfect for special occasion.
TEPPAN also offers a much affordable lunch menu from $78++ onward.
